Pham's new miner he just released will let you set amoveopool2 as your main pool, and then set up backup pools for when it's down

this DDOS attack has to be expensive from a cost/ opportunity cost perspective. I wonder what's the end objective here
11:36
definitely it's not helping one specific pool gain more miners - at least so far, nor is it letting anyone instamine
11:37
and a ddos of this size and scale would be very expensive to maintain for a long period of time before either it doesnt economically make sense anymore or it's solved from pools' ends
11:38
the effect/ damage at best would be temporary in nature
11:38
but the price so far in OTC markets hasnt tanked
11:39
what am I missing here

11:50

Zack Hello! Can you please explain how your pool is paying rewards? For example as discussed earlier - I got 2048 shares - yey 1 veo! But no.. Per my understanding even if I got 2048 shares and pool found only one block (for example) - then my payment is only 0.1 Veo, rest is stayed for another block, correct? What happens if I leave your pool - all shares are there and will be distributed based on same formula 10% from block?

a person who is "unbanked" is someone who lacks access to basic financial services.
It is similar to someone without access to clean water or shelter. A desperate person lacking a basic tool needed for survival.

your wallet is safe with your private key
03:09
payout are made from the pool wallets to your wallets. if you mine on 1 pool and switch to other you get payed by 1 pool and the other but they don't "merge" in any sort
03:09
these payouts from different pool are independent, but of course they will be sent to your wallet
03:15
In reply to this message
the only problem in switching pools is only if you mine 0.05 on 1 pool 0.05 on the other, mininmum payout on each is 0.1... but you will get zero. you will need to mne +0.05 on each to get your 0.1+0.1 payout

There is a problem where high-nonced txs block low-nonced txs.
How about we make a new tx type that lets you spend to multiple addresses at once.
This way you use only 1 nonce.
03:41
so instead of 60 tiny txs, it would be one big one.

I think interacting nonces is the major problem here.
It also makes cold storage a pain.
03:48
maybe it should be a tx grouper tx type. so you could include any tx type that can be signed by only 1 user. including oracle tx types and channel-slash and channel-timeout.
03:49
the fee is probably going to have to be the sum of the sub-transaction fees.

one thing to note is that Zack i believe plans to split the oracle initial liquidity variable into two: one variable for governance oracles and one variable for question oracles

Thanks for sharing.
I am disappointed they called it a voting oracle.
I am also disappointed they called it a special use case blockchain.
Amoveo is a turing complete platform. Almost any smart contract worth writing can be written on amoveo.

They didn't talk about how the smart contract platform is inside the lightning network.

It's a single SHA256 of the block header + the nonce, they are concatenated in that order. This is how it's done:
